- The S3TC packages will pass all anti cheat known for UT.
- There is no need to run the S3TCFix.
- Skating player glitch is solved if admins use vanilla textures from the 1st UT CD.

Is this correct ?

And Vice Versa:

- Using the S3TCFix doesnt fix anything in the new packages.
- Serveradmins that use the 2nd CD UT textures will cause the skating player glitch.
- Serveradmins that use the textures from the server package will cause the skating player glitch.

Is that correct too ?

Is this correct ?

- Correct - no anitcheat problems whatsoever.
- Correct - no need to run s3tc fix on utrp packages (tested with fresh install of ut)
- Correct - no skating glitch on servers that have cd1 textures installed.
- Server admins should put UTRP somewhere in their server name to indicate they have CD1 textures installed.

- Correct
- Correct - server admins who use cd2 textures are begging for problems. Highly Discouraged !!
- Correct - use of the 'net' textures in the dedicated server packages WILL give the skating glitch.

OK this is a good thread, I'm linking admins to this page so that they know what I'm talking about when I say their servers cause skating glitches and so they know what textures they need to use.

Sorry been to buzy last night to give a reply.

But its cool to have an overview :) And thats appreciated :) , and in time i will create instruction pages for all this. Which would also include downloads. And at that time i also need to make a few test S3TC packages to see if the chaos textures can be updated safelly, cause those are only available in the 2nd CD. I just hope those textures are simply plain textures and upgradable.

And if that works i will create a download pack(s) speciffically for serveradmins. Just to make sure the admins have meanings to download the correct serverfiles to prevent conflicts or errors.

And just a reminder for myself, to also add that as Linux downloadable tar files.

Edit :)

And Q and A section, since those are super effective to explain things :)
